Possibly. It would never happen though unfortunately.

the only option is to raise enough money that they will take it to leave ....... let's face it they are in it for money so offer them enough for the club and they will take it ........ the problem is that people like DIC etc are business people and aren't going to offer over the odds to buy the club simply to get rid of the clowns

If they don't invest in the club it will fall away as a contender for honours and this will damage the value of their asset. Do they want that? Are they really expecting Benitez to get the results required to protect their investment without giving him adeqaute funds?

That's the puzzle. The club cannot get anymore valuable, in relative terms than it was at the end of last year. What's in it for them to hold out against offers that nearly meet their valuation when it's as high as it can ever be?

the minimum standard for the yanks, and for the previous owners is EUROPEAN qualification, without that i think the club looses much revenue. As long as Rafa keeps qulifying for europe, he yanks will have a guaranteed revenue from UEFA.

If we fail to qulify, yikkes then we in deep [oops]. I dont think there is any club in england that has a minimum standard of The title, becasue that is a impossible target.

As long as we play in europe every year, the value remains good, and the guaranteed income keeps the yanks happy.

Now imagine if we win the cham League, and the premiership? That would be a money spinner for teh yanks, would send this club on a upswing. But will they part with the money? i dont think so.

I just hope Rafa doesn't walk at the end of the season (or even sooner)

Remember why he left Valencia - fights with the board... "I asked for a table and they bought me a lampshade"

This is slightly different, there was a promise of funds. I know situations change but to not make a net investement in a team that was a mere few points off the title (when everyone else makes investments) is criminal.
