yeah but kuyt and lucas have to go. until they do we will be in trouble. I can't believe we are giving dirky a new contract, he epitomises a hard luck story..loads of effort ,which we love him for ,but lacking in the quality needed to win stuff, won nowt since he's been here and will win nowt as long as he is here..same goes for lucas, he shouldn't be a regular in a title chasing team- which he isn't Blah blah blah blah blah blah, snore.  Will someone wake me up when Ape finally shuts up talking crap please? I may be gone some time.

Raul Meireles is not the problem in fact he is a massive plus to the team ok not as good a passer than Xabi but scores goals and tries to make the play liverpool need to build around players like raul and gerrard not lokking to sell them for players with lesser ability , he is a top european player and he i at liverpool sell the deadwood first instead of thew good players .

May seem strange but we could make a nice tidy proffit from his 1st season. To me he scores and not much else he doesnt dictate play or influence it much and doesnt do much to break up opposition play. Him and gerrard want to do the same thing but Gerrard can do much more. The money made could let as buy sissoko and give a bit to allow the purchase of a great passer. I dont see how he and gerrard can play in the same team unless gerrard plays on right and gerrard if we think about it rather than in just the short term is far better. You may say hes not done as much last 2 seasons however we havent had much decent possesion in this time and if we look at his england form its better than ever. If we can get a functioning midfield with some width ie ashley young behind are exciting strike force he will play like the old stevie. lucas can be used as a back up when hes out or coady, pacheo, suso or if we keep cole lets get rid of ngog, jova, poulsen, kuyt and many others before even thinking about selling raul.

Still discussion this dead-end topic? Why is that every time someone sees something slightly wrong with the squad they feel they need to either sell our best players, our entire second string, or both?
A little perspective please! Our problems in midfield are largely due to Gerrard not being very good at playing with a partner who is good in a similar role (eg Gerrard+Lampard). This doesn't mean we should sell either player - it means the manager needs to work out how to fit them into the same team in a way that allows them to work together. Gerrard doesn't have many seasons left in him, so selling Meireles makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Since it's highly likely that we will retain Aquilani as well, Kenny will have some selection headaches next season, but it's always better to be spoiled for choice than to have none. Valencia breaks his foot? No problem just move Nani there and start Giggs. Lucas breaks his foot? Uhhh....f*cking big problem and he's hardly irreplaceable in terms of a transfer window with money to burn.
How about we stop working out who we should sell and buy, and see how Kenny deals with the hand H&G dealt us?

whats the point in selling him? to make a profit? why make a profit when the whole point in buying him in the first place was to improve the team. he has done that so why go backwards?
