anfield can only really be extended to 60,000+ IF anfield road end is completely re-designed and that the stadium loses the square look... eg wrap rounds on ALL sides
main stand remove the paddock to upper tier "barrier" knock out the metal sheeting in corners and have a wrap round extend stand to another tier
anfield road Take top tier off take stand all the way back and high (road underpass) wrap round to the centenary stand relocating tv studio
centenary add another tier extra corporate boxes in the wrap round to anfield road end more corporate boxes to the kop wrap round
kop get rid of sheeting in corners straighten out the back of the stand (eg the grooves that stick out towards the back)
THIS COULD GET IT TO 60,000
however... No room for more

90,000 - what planet are you on - Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, London, Munich are huge cities compared to Liverpool ..... 75,000 would be too big also..... 60,000 would be big enough without losing the atmosphere, I think

Plus also I posted a few weeks ago about the Ocean Gateway Liverpool and the North West corridoe to Manchester are about to become one of the wealthiest parts of the UK Big Tit. You need to think beyond what is there now. But in any event would start at 60k with option to go 90k. We have those plans now on Stanley Park

Plus Irish / Danes / Norweigians / Spoutherners etc etc. Plus as I say about to be massively wealthy which will increase population Manc to Liverpool.

Kop: 12,409 Centenary: 11,762 Anfield Road: 9,074 Kop: 12,409
These are the current capacities. Being realistic only the Main Stand and the Anfield Rod stand can be changed at the moment. I believe Anfield Road can be re-directed into the park to allow the Anfield Road Stand to go further back & maybe allow a large 2nd tier that would increase it to more than the Kop, say 5,000 more. The Main stand could be done first though with the roof coming off & building a 2nd tier like the Centenary Stand so that the stand could still be used during matches. This could easily accommodate a further 7-10,000 and would solve the problem of reaching nearly 60k.
If in the future we wanted to increase further then the Centenary Stand & the Kop could be looked at.
With regards to a previous point about metal sheeting, these are used to hide the steel beams so cannot be moved without the main structure being changed.

I don't think we can fill 75,000 easily at all. We could fill it for a champions league game against Real Madrid, sure. But a home game against Wigan and I'm not so sure. Mid week games when the weather is not so nice, and again I'm not so sure. At the moment we're in a high point, when fans are loving the football, and loving Kenny in charge. But don't forget, if you go back to bad times, when Hodgson was in charge, we would struggle to fill a 40,000 stadium. I think thats true but with respect thats not the point. Aresnal and Man Utd did not build their fantastic stadia on the assumption they were going to do poorly. 60,000 with an option to go higher seems sensible but its impossible at Anfield

LFC fans were hoping to buy LFC not so long ago cant the fans put the money in to paying for a new ground to be built? so itll be owned by the supporters group? not sure about the legal ties here but it would be on the same principle of fans buying the club! that would be a great legacy for the supporters to leave for future generation! ?
