Torres left us in a bad way but im not angry about it anymore he did whats best for him short term lets face we are few years from challenging for anything title ways our team has been picked apart and we need rebuilding with his injury record he will burn out early probably by the age of 30 most of his game evolves around pace which he will lose he has been disrespectful to us but we have been the same the guy was an idol to us and he will always be remembered for the good times he brought us but its time to focus on us carroll and suarez two of the best young strikers in the world and we can build around that with some other good signings like the inevitable young and adam signings come the summer and some of the young reserves atm we could be challenging again in 3-4 years
I think if we look at the immediate reaction to this transfer window I think we can see all we need to know. Most Liverpool fans are upset with Torres himself, some with the club for not preventing it, but most (if not all) realize Torres wasn't a keeper (in the same sense that a hot babe who makes a fantastic breakfast, gives you back rubs, and doesn't sleep with your friends is a keeper). On the other hand there isn't a single Newcastle fan who doesn't want to strangle Mike Ashley. We lost a guy with the potential to sulk us down the table, and gained a guy with the potential to be the next great English striker. It's early days, and there's lots more to football than kicking (or heading in Carroll's case) a ball, but the sense of optimism that I gained the day Kenny clocked in hasn't dimmed despite LFC losing one of the best strikers in the world on his day.
Prognosis: I think we're going to be fine, just fine, especially since we got Suarez as well.
