Is there really any genuine chance that we will sign Luis Suarez?

Let's fooking hope so.

what are we expecting here lads? I'd rather have stabilization at the club first then demanding a big signing, that is simply not the answer to our problems. A realisation of the gravity of the situation Liverpool are in is needed.

A long term fix has started (yet again) but we should not be demanding a short term answer that will only harm the club in the long run.

expect signings, but don't be surprised if we only bring in kids for the future.

i'm not expecting us to sign "big" name players....only Man City do this...

but we have a depleted squad and we are loaning players out like Eccleston when we are short of strength up front...i'm not saying Eccleston is the answer to our prayers but i find to get my head around it..

we have Aqualani who granted didn't impress during his stint here but he has to be better than Poulson...and Insua has to be better than Konchevsky...

i would recall all the players so at least we have a stronger squad and options...if we are not going to sign anyone apart from kids....

we're not even giving the kids we have a chance anyway...

we can get some great deals in january. we dont even have to spend big. SWP wont be out of our price range and although he isnt world class, he is certainly an improvement over Kuyt & Maxi on the right. as for centre forwards, although everyone hates carlton cole, and I do not beleive he is liverpool quality, he is still a centre forward that can score in the PL and he will hit the ground running and is and always will be, better than ngog! I dont think we should be looking overseas for players because it is such a gamble as to whether they will be any good in the pl. We need PL players that are proven in the PL! I personally would have had jermaine Pennant back! F*ck knows why we got rid of Reira! IF we go and buy players like Aurelio back, then I dont see why we dont go in for him and get him on the left!

The owners will spend because it will be good business to. They would need a working product. With businessmen, you can always rely on their business instincts over any sort of passion.

i think the owners wont spend big but will want to add and refresh the team, they will want young players so they can sell on if they dont work out, i feel it will be a slow rebuild which is just aswell cos if you replace too many at once the whole team wont balance very well
