Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is monitoring Burnley centre-back Michael Keane.
The 23-year-old defender is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs with Chelsea the latest outfit said to be considering taking a punt on him.
Keane starred against the Reds during last month’s 2-0 defeat at Turf Moor but his name had already been put forward to the manager in the summer by the Anfield scouting department.
On target in Burnley’s 2-0 win over Watford last night, Keane is under contract until 2018 but has so far failed to sign a new and extended deal.
Leicester City made an unsuccessful attempt to sign him in the summer after refusing to meet a £20million valuation for a player who only cost £2m when Burnley made his loan deal from Manchester United permanent in January 2015.
Keane’s valuation should start to decrease in 2017, if of course he doesn’t extend his contract.
