Virgil van Dijk will be at Anfield for Liverpool vs Leicester

Virgil van Dijk will be at Anfield on Saturday to watch his new club take on visitors Leicester City in the Premier League.

Jürgen Klopp’s record-making £75million signing doesn’t officially become a Liverpool player until January 1st when the Reds travel to Burnley.

He is eligible to play in that game and also the FA Cup tie against Everton a week on Friday but Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has suggested he won’t rush him into action.

“He has to adapt to our style of play. It is completely different but we are 100 percent sure he will do it. I am happy it is finally done but there is no rush,” said the boss.

What we do know is that Van Dijk will be at tomorrow’s match. He will then train with the squad after our match away to Burnley on New Year’s Day with the hope of being involved against Everton.

Van Dijk can’t wait to pull on the Liverpool shirt and we can’t wait to finally see him get his Anfield career underway.
