This Is Anfield: The Documentary will be shown on Liverpool Football Club’s own satellite channel LFC TV this evening.

Billed as a ‘brand new and exclusive’ documentary, this looks like a must for Liverpool supporters who will be taken back through the years and brought up to the present date in this 1 hour special about the stadium.

The blurb on the offal says: ‘The documentary goes back more than 150 years, to when what we now know as Anfield was farmland, soon to be inhabited by Everton Football Club. Over the course of an hour, the film will explain how a stadium rose from the ground to become the proud home of the Reds – one of the world’s finest footballing cathedrals. Ours is the story of the people who have made Anfield – the founding members, the architects, the heroes – and most importantly, the fans. Testimony from legends, former managers and academics will intertwine with exclusive images and unseen footage to paint a vivid picture of the ground through the years.’
