Stoke City are in talks to sign Mamadou Sakho.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has made the player available for loan and he is currently being offered to clubs.
Sunderland have so far passed on the opportunity but Stoke boss Mark Hughes has registered an interest and talks are underway to try and broker a deal.
Sakho’s relationship with the manager isn’t exactly the best at the moment so a temporary parting of ways is certainly a reminder of who’s calling the shots.
Supporters have been left baffled the decision with some suggesting that the decision is nothing more than an attempt to reduce the wage bill with the more economical Ragnar Klavan now able to provide cover.
