Sammy Lee joins England coaching staff

Former Liverpool player, coach and assistant manager Sammy Lee is to become Sam Allardyce’s principal assistant with England.

The new Three Lions boss confirmed that Lee would be teaming-up with him again following their time at Bolton together.

Allardyce said: “Sammy is joining me. Not only did we have a great time at Bolton but I’ve relied on his international experience over the years as well.

“He’s one of the many who will join me in the near future.”
