Roberto Firmino is fit and available for selection to face Derby County in the League Cup after missing Liverpool’s game against Chelsea on Friday.
The 24-year-old missed the trip to Stamford Bridge with a slight groin problem but is available to be included in the squad for tomorrow’s game should the manager choose to select him.
Commenting on his status at today’s pre-match press conference, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp said: “It’s all about taking risks in football but not with players who are not 100 percent.
“We have to wait a little bit. Roberto is in training.
“We gave him yesterday [off] because medical department told me, he could have played but I decided no. They told me if we give him three days it will be perfect. Today is the fourth day.”
