Rigobert Song fighting for his life following stroke

Rigobert Song, the former Liverpool defender, is fighting for his life after reportedly suffering a stroke.

The 40-year-old is said to be in a critical condition after being rushed to hospital.

A popular figure during his time at Anfield resulted in the Kop affectionately singing “One Song! One Song! We’ve only got one Song!” whenever he was involved on the pitch or when seen warming up to come off the bench.

Despite only spending a year with the Reds, he’s a player that we’ve always had a lot of time for. We hope he can pull through this.
