Ragnar Klavan will be confirmed as a Liverpool player within the next 24 hours after passing a medical on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old centre-back has been recruited by Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp who needs to strengthen his defensive options following the departures of Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel and the injuries to Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez.
Augsburg have agreed a transfer fee of around £4.2million with Liverpool.
Klavan will be included in the squad that will fly to the United States later this week.
