Philippe Coutinho out until January

Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho will be out of action for up to 6 weeks after the scan he underwent today confirmed that he has sustained ankle ligament damage.

The Liverpool midfielder will miss games against Bournemouth, West Ham United, Middlesbrough, Everton, Stoke, Manchester City, Sunderland and also the FA Cup 3rd round.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on January 15th to play Manchester United so supporters will obviously be hoping he’s back for that one, if not before.

There were fears that the 24-year-old could have been out for much longer or that he may have needed surgery, fortunately that’s not the case.
