Philippe Coutinho comments on PSG transfer talk

Philippe Coutinho has failed to end speculation that suggests he might leave the club over the summer.

The Liverpool playmaker, who scored a hat-trick for Brazil in their Copa America win over Haiti last night (see above), was asked if he’d like to comment on the interest in him from French outfit PSG, interest which KOPTALK sources insist is genuine.

Instead of nipping the speculation in the bud, the 23-year-old said such matters were for his representatives to deal with.

Coutinho said: “As far as I know, there’s no offer.

“I’m here with the national team, this subject is for my representatives.

“More important for me is to be here, focused on the national team and having a good tournament. That’s where my head is.”

Liverpool insist the player is not for sale while the player himself has never suggested that he’s looking for a move. He is though clearly being briefed by his agents and we’re a little disappointed, albeit not surprised, that he chose not to put an end to the chatter that he could jump ship.

Barcelona are said to be monitoring the situation.
