Joe Allen has admitted that he’s uncertain about his immediate future at the club.
The 25-year old midfielder hasn’t seen much action for the Reds of late and there’s been no recent talks in relation to a new contract.
Talks were opened about a new deal last March, when Brendan Rodgers was the manager, but almost a year later, there’s been no follow-up.
“That’s gone very quiet,” said Allen. “I’m not too sure really. I’ve only made one league start this season, so I want to play more. I think that’s obvious for any player in that situation.
“From my point of view it’s just about knuckling down, doing my job and giving my best, which is always what I do.”
Allen isn’t every Liverpool supporter’s cup of tea but we have time for him. He may not be the most talented player but he wants to play for Liverpool and he has a lot of time for the fans. That of course won’t win you titles though.
