Marko Grujic’s Liverpool medical to go ahead

Marko Grujic’s proposed transfer to Liverpool looks to be edging closer with the 19-year-old due on Merseyside after the weekend to finally undergo his medical.

A previous medical was called off following an alleged disagreement between the player’s father and Red Star Belgrade but it would now appear that a transfer is close to completion.

Personal terms and a fee of around £5million have already been agreed and a work permit has been granted by the authorities.

Red Star Belgrade officials claim that Grujic will be handed the No. 8 jersey vacated by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Grujic looks set to be loaned back to Red Star until the summer if his transfer to Liverpool is finalised this month.
