Mario Balotelli leaves Liverpool … for good

Mario Balotelli has completed a free transfer to French outfit Nice.

The 26-year-old striker has made the switch to France on a permanent basis and not on a loan deal.

Liverpool won’t receive a penny as there’s no fee involved but with the player having waived his right to a golden handshake, they won’t have to pay him off for binning him. His exit will also mean that the Reds will see a significant reduction of the club’s wage bill.

Meanwhile, Andre Wisdom has completed his transfer to Red Bull Salzburg after agreeing a season-long loan deal while Luis Alberto has completed a permanent transfer to Lazio.
