Mario Balotelli close to Liverpool exit

Kop flop Mario Balotelli is close to securing a deadline day transfer to France.

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere expects a deal to be concluded today providing Balotelli passes a medical.

It would appear that the deal could be an initial loan with the French outfit having also discussed an option to make the deal permanent. However, Liverpool are trying to negotiate an outright sale now.

A number of European clubs registered an interest in the striker but baulked at his wage demands. There’s no word from anyone close to the Reds with regards what percentage of his wages Nice will pick up if it’s only a loan move.

The 26-year-old wasn’t given a chance by Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp but it is believed he was encouraged to remove him from the club as quickly as possible by the powers that be.
