Mario Balotelli: Klopp only spoke to me once

Mario Balotelli has lifted the lid on his relationship with Jürgen Klopp.

The former Liverpool hitman says Klopp only spoke to him once and that was to make it clear that he didn’t figure in his plans.

Balotelli (26) opted to leave Anfield on a free transfer to French outfit Nice where he’s scored six goals in five appearances so far.

“Klopp does not know me and I do not know him,” said the controversial Italian.

“I was back in Liverpool a month an a half and I spoke to him once.

“He explained to me that I could stay there but I was not his first choice and he told me it was better if I went somewhere else.

“If I got games, did well, I could come back but I said goodbye and thank you.”
