Marcus Rashford turned down Liverpool offer

Marcus Rashford turned down the chance to sign for Liverpool and instead opted for rivals Manchester United when he was 7-years-old.

Fresh reports today state that the 18-year-old hitman left junior club Fletcher Moss Rangers for Old Trafford instead of Anfield because he was a United supporter.

It’s not the first time that the claims have been made. Earlier this year Fletcher Moss chairman Ron Jamieson said: “He’s a United fan. Once they came in for him I don’t think they’d have chosen anyone else. Everton, United and Liverpool, they were all clamouring around him.”

Wes Brown, Ravel Morrison, Zeki Fryers, Jesse Lingard, Tyler Blackett, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Danny Welbeck were also with Fletcher Moss Rangers before moving to United.
