Liverpool invite offers for Mamadou Sakho loan

Liverpool Football Club have made Mamadou Sakho available for loan, a decision that has left many supporters baffled.

Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp believes a short deployment away from Anfield could benefit the 26-year-old who has resumed light training at Melwood and is close to full fitness.

New signing Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren are the manager’s preferred partnership in the centre of defence with other new signing Ragnar Klavan now fancied ahead of Sakho after the Frenchman was sent back to the UK from the pre-season tour of America for breaking club rules.

Sunderland have already been offered him but it would appear that David Moyes has rejected the idea and will keep faith with Papy Djilobodji instead.

Atletico Madrid right back Javier Manquillo, who was on loan with Liverpool a couple of seasons back, is close to making a loan move to Sunderland.
