Liverpool’s Gary Medel ‘transfer bid’ denied

Reports originating from Italy, that claim Liverpool have had a transfer bid for Inter Milan’s Gary Medel rejected, have been rubbished by the club.

The 29-year-old defensive midfielder, who can also play as a defender, was linked with us earlier in the window but until now we haven’t seen him mooted again as a possible target.

This week his name resurfaced with the Italian media claiming that we had now stepped up with an offer but that it had been rejected.

However a club insider has chosen to play down the reports and has insisted (off-the-record) that Jürgen Klopp isn’t interested in him.

Who you choose to believe is up to you but it does sound a bit iffy to us.
