Liverpool will have to dig deep for Marlos Moreno

Liverpool will have to make an “extraordinary offer” if they want to sign Colombian forward Marlos Moreno says Atletico Nacional president Juan Carlos De La Cuesta.

The Reds and several other European sides have been linked with the highly-rated 19-year-old but his club insist they will not be bullied into a cut-price deal for the player should anyone actually step up with a formal offer.

De La Cuesta said: “So far there is not a transfer, but there is interest.

“We want to be responsible with the institution and see how everything evolves.

“It would be an extraordinary offer to consider selling it, but we know how the market dynamics. If there is a good offer, we will have to consider.

“With Benfica there have been a few approaches but no formal offer.”

Portuguese publication A Bola claim Liverpool, PSG, Porto and Benfica, are all interested. We understand that Liverpool scouts have watched him in action but we can’t confirm if we’ve formally registered an interest in the player at this time.
