Liverpool want ‘The Normal One’ trademark

Liverpool Football Club have applied to trademark ‘The Normal One’ as a copyrighted slogan.

Jürgen Klopp referred to himself as ‘the normal one’ at his first press conference when unveiled as the new Liverpool manager back in October when journalists made reference to Jose Mourinho being known as ‘The Special One’.

At the time, Klopp said:  “I am a normal guy from the Black Forest and I do not compare myself with the geniuses.

“I don’t describe myself. Does anyone in this room think I can do wonders? Let me work. I am the normal one.”

So popular was the phrase that various unlicensed merchandise started to flood the web and Liverpool, who already sell gear with the slogan on, want to protect themselves.
