Liverpool tracking Diego Lainez

Liverpool are reportedly stepping-up their interest in 17-year-old Mexican attacking midfielder Diego Lainez.

Anfield scouts watched Lainez impress at the recent Under-17 World Cup tournament with Mexico and the latest suggestions are that the Reds have now made an informal approach to his club, Liga MX outfit Club America, to discuss his availability.

He made his competitive debut for Club America in a Copa MX game on 1st March of this year. Three days later he become one of Club America’s youngest ever players to turn out for them in the League at the age of 16.
