The agent that represents Giuseppe Rossi says his client is looking for a transfer away from Fiorentina during the January transfer window.
Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp would like to strengthen his attacking options after losing Danny Ings to injury and because of the ongoing problems surrounding Daniel Sturridge. It’s been mooted that Rossi is under consideration although reports are speculative at this time.
Rossi’s agent Federico Pastorello commented: “The club has realised it cannot keep hold of the lad because he wants to play.
“He will 99 per cent leave Fiorentina in January.”
Klopp has funds available to spend during the January transfer window but there are other areas of the team that he would rather strengthen first. While he would like to recruit another striker, we don’t expect to see him spend big on such during the mid-season window.
There are doubts surrounding the long term future of Sturridge but fortunately Divock Origi has finally started to up his game a little but it’s too early to say in what direction his Anfield career will go.
