Liverpool reject £25m Christian Benteke bid

Liverpool have rejected a £25million transfer bid from Crystal Palace for Christian Benteke.

The Reds are looking for a fee of £30million plus add-ons for the 25-year-old who doesn’t fit into manager Jürgen Klopp’s plans.

Former Reds’ boss Brendan Rodgers shelled out £32.5million for Benteke in July 2015 but was sacked only 3 months after his arrival.

The player’s personal terms have been informally agreed in principle ahead of a possible deal.

Liverpool are now hoping that Palace will return with an improved offer.
