Liverpool recall Danny Ward from Aberdeen loan

Liverpool have confirmed that they have recalled goalkeeper Danny Ward from Aberdeen.

The 22-year-old was on a season-long loan at Pittodrie where he quickly established himself as a favourite with the fans, keeping 11 clean sheets in 29 appearances

To be honest, we were wondering why Ward hadn’t been recalled as we have absolutely no confidence in reserve ‘keeper Adam Bogdan and we made that clear in the summer when he was signed by former boss Brendan Rodgers.

First choice Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet doesn’t fill us with much confidence but Bogdan is possibly the worst goalkeeper we have ever seen turn out for the first team.

Ward, who signed a new 5-year contract in the summer, certainly deserves to be on the bench.
