Liverpool to play Villarreal in Europa League semi-finals

Liverpool will play Spanish outfit Villarreal in the Europa League semi-finals.

The first leg will be played at the Estadio El Madrigal on 28 April with the return leg to be played at Anfield on 5 May.

Villarreal, who have never played us in a competitive fixture, are 4th in La Liga. They’ve beaten both Madrid sides and have drawn with Barcelona at home so far this season.

Holders Sevilla will take on Ukrainian heavyweight Shakhtar Donetsk in the other semi-final.
