Liverpool offer Jürgen Klopp new contract

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have offered Jürgen Klopp a new contract after apparently being “blown away” by his impact at Anfield.

The Reds’ boss is under contract until 2018 and that deal also has the option of a further 12 months but the powers that be want to see him tied down for longer.

Talks are already underway and well placed insiders believe Klopp could pen an extension within the next few weeks.

Already one of the Premier League’s highest paid managers on a deal worth around £5million-a-year, club officials are making it known that a new deal is about the duration of his contract and not improved financial terms.
