Liverpool have approached Queens Park Rangers to enquire about the availability of centre-back Steven Caulker.
The 24-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Southampton but he’s made only one Premier League start for the Saints and his move could be cut short this month if all involved agree to terminate the agreement.
Having failed to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Neven Subotic, Liverpool are now looking at Caulker to come in until the summer.
Bournemouth, Sunderland and Crystal Palace have all also been linked with Caulker, a player that former Reds’ boss Brendan Rodgers also looked at during his reign.
