Liverpool linked with Hoffenheim defender

Liverpool have been linked with another centre-back today, this time the reported target is Hoffenheim’s Fabian Schär.

It is claimed that Liverpool scouts watched the Switzerland international (21 caps) in action in at the recent World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Andorra.

The 24-year-old moved to Hoffenheim from FC Basel just over a year ago despite strong interest from Arsenal at the time and has continued to impress.

According to reports, Hoffenheim could be tempted to sell at around £10million but it doesn’t sound like they’re in any rush to move him on.
