Liverpool and Everton to ‘battle’ for Soualiho Meite

Newspaper reports today suggest that Liverpool and Everton will battle it out for French Under-20 international Soualiho Meite (above right).

The 22-year-old Lille defensive midfielder, who is currently on loan at Zulte Waregem in Belgium, was linked with us recently and reports continue to suggest that we have an interest in him.

Jürgen Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund are also said to be tracking him but if you believe the latest reports, it is Liverpool and Everton who will battle it out for his signature.

KOPTALK sources claim that we have scouted him but add that there’s no talk of any move for him at the present time. However, they do suggest that we continue to monitor his progress despite the speculative reports that are currently circulating.

Lille paid Auxerre £1.3m for Meite back in January 2013 when he was 18.
