Liverpool have reportedly ended their interested in Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus AKA ‘The Next Neymar’.
Reports originating from Brazil claim that Liverpool had been tracking the 19-year-old Palmeiras player but have opted against making an offer because of his valuation.
It is claimed that Liverpool would have to fork out £31.5million for the highly-rated youngster as they would be unable to take advantage of a preferential clause which allows him to leave for£18.9m. A clause in his contract apparently makes him available to five clubs (Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris St-Germain) for the lower fee.
Ironically, reports also state that Manchester United have turned their back on him because they still consider the £18.9m fee too high.
