Liverpool deny interest in reported target

Liverpool officials have denied that the club are looking at possibly signing Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook in the summer.

Reports have suggested that Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has been tracking the 21-year-old as a possible replacement for Germany international Emre Can but this has been denied ‘off-the-record’.

Obviously, there is no official statement rubbishing our interest but club officials want it ‘out there’ that we’re not interested.

Mooted as a possible £20million transfer target for the Reds, it would appear that we may not be interested after all.
