Liverpool consider Javier Hernández transfer bid

Javier Hernandez

Liverpool are considering making a summer transfer bid for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernández.

The 27-year-old was sold for £7.3million to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer after Louis van Gaal decided he wouldn’t figure in his plans, a move that appears to have worked out well for the player.

Hernández, who has scored 19 goals in 25 games so far this season, was linked with a possible move to Anfield prior to his transfer to Germany but it was claimed that he turned down the opportunity to discuss a possible transfer at the time because of the club rivalry between Liverpool and United.

Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked but if you choose to believe today’s reports, which are from reasonably credible sources, it is Liverpool who are showing interest at the moment.

Should Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp choose to step up his interest, expect to see speculation return as we approach the summer transfer window.

We suggest you monitor this one but truth be told we’re more focused on what might happen during the current window. The thought of looking ahead to the summer window while another window is still open … urgh.
