Lazio want Liverpool defender Kolo Toure

Italian outfit Lazio are interested in signing veteran Liverpool defender Kolo Toure.

The Serie A club are looking at recruiting the centre-back following injuries to Stefan de Vrij and Santiago Gentiletti.

Liverpool want to hold on to Toure as he provides cover when needed but it is unlikely that the club would make his exit difficult at this stage of his career, especially as he has behaved as a total professional since he was signed on a free transfer from Manchester City in 2013.

Toure, who turns 35 in March, is out of contract at the end of the season.
