Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has hinted that fans could still see further additions this summer.
The Reds have a number of injury problems despite the season not even having started yet and it’s no secret that the boss remains in the market for a left-back.
Jonas Hector remains an option despite reports suggesting Liverpool have ended their interest after being quoted £20million. However, FC Köln and the Reds both claim that they won’t move on the valuation so that game of brinkmanship continues to be played out publicly.
Commenting on the situation, Klopp said: “Is the activity all over? I have no idea. I don’t think so. We will see what happens.
“If the Roma game was our base then we have to change everything but it isn’t. Was the Milan game more our base? Maybe. But Roma? No.
“Gomez, Sakho and Lucas are all injured so of course we haven’t got enough centre-backs at the moment. But we have to handle situations.
“There have been too many games with not enough centre-backs. We can’t sign someone just for a few weeks. In other positions we do have cover.”
