German star linked with possible Liverpool transfer

Reports over the weekend saw Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland linked with Liverpool again.

Former Reds’ boss Brendan Rodgers had the 23-year-old scouted while he was in the Anfield hot seat but that interest was never followed up on. Now it is claimed that Rodgers’ successor Jürgen Klopp is keeping an eye on the versatile forward, who can play in a number of attacking positions, with a view of signing him.

Volland is a player that we have talked about for several years and we can see why Klopp tried to take him to his former club Borussia Dortmund. We would certainly like to see him recruited as we’ve been monitoring his progress for some time.

His speculated value has remained around the £12million mark since he was last linked with us back in June 2015.
