Jürgen Klopp discusses Joe Allen situation

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp isn’t saying much about Joe Allen’s Anfield future but he says a solution will hopefully be found over the summer.

The 26-year-old only has a year left on his current contract and there’s no sign of a new one with the Welshman expected to leave the club over the summer.

Klopp said: “We will find a solution but it’s not done.

“Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team.

“We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That’s how it works.”

Allen could make the switch to Swansea if Piotr Zielinski is confirmed.
