Jordon Ibe misses Exeter FA Cup tie with hamstring injury

Jordon Ibe has been ruled out of tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Exeter City with a hamstring injury.

The 20-year-old is the 7th member of Jürgen Klopp’s squad to be hit with a hamstring problem.

Daniel Sturridge, Dejan Lovren, Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi, Jordan Rossiter and Martin Skrtel are all out with hamstring injuries.

Mamadou Sakho (knee), Jordan Henderson (heel), Kolo Toure (cramp), Danny Ings (knee) and Joe Gomez (knee) are also out while Jon Flanagan is not available following a lengthy layoff.

Meanwhile, Reds’ boss Jürgen Klopp has said that the club will no longer be loaning out its best talent.

Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent have been recalled from their temporary spells at Wolves and Coventry respectively but 11 players remain out on loan including Mario Balotelli and Lazar Markovic.

“It is important we take our own players back like with Kent, Ojo and Tiago,” said Klopp. “These are our players and we have a situation [with injuries].

“In my opinion the best talents should be at their own club so they can play together for the Under-21s and develop as a team, so you always have them around you.

“That’s how I think it should be. Now we take them back and it’s a big chance for the boys. Offensive wingers and a centre-half are interesting for us in this moment.

“The loan system is something we need to look at in the summer. The best talents should be in their club so they can develop.”
