Joe Allen and Jordon Ibe attracting interest

Watford have approached Liverpool regarding the availabilities of Joe Allen and Jordon Ibe.

Both players are available for transfer although Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is in no rush to move them on. If suitable bids come in, then you would expect them to be sold in the summer, especially Allen, as Klopp is looking to strengthen his squad with a higher level of stock.

Allen (26) is about to enter the last year of his contract. Contract talks had started under former boss Brendan Rodgers but they were placed on hold when Klopp was appointed last October. Allen is expected to be one of the first players out of the door once the transfer window opens.

Ibe (20) has seen his form dip and doesn’t appear to be making any further progress with his Liverpool career at the moment. England Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate believes the youngster is currently struggling with his confidence.
