Götze denies discussing possible transfer with Klopp

Liverpool target Mario Götze says he has not discussed a possible transfer to Anfield with Jürgen Klopp but has admitted that they sometimes talk.

The 23-year-old German midfielder returned to action at the weekend for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen after 5 months out and was quizzed after the game about a possible move to Anfield following speculation that he’s on our radar [Ed: Which he is].

Götze responded: “We are texting now and again. He was my coach at Borussia Dortmund but there is nothing special.”

Asked whether they had discussed a potential transfer and he said: “No.”

It’s not the first time that the player has had to respond to questions about Liverpool’s reported interest. Back in January he commented: “I have not heard anything. You should ask Klopp if he wants me at Liverpool. If he wants me, he should approach me.”
