FSG Melwood protest flops

A planned protest against Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) flopped yesterday.

Only 1 supporter attended the deadline day protest at Melwood, Liverpool FC’s training centre, and he was one of the organisers from supporters’ group ‘Fenway We Come Not To Pay‘.

The event received little promotion and although KOPTALK neither supported nor condoned the protest, we can’t help but think that the lone fan is a legend for standing up for what he believed in, no matter what our personal views may be regarding the owners and such supporters’ groups.

For the record we don’t think FSG are the worst owners but we also don’t believe they are the best owners. We don’t have much faith in them but they’re our owners and that’s not going to change imminently. The new main stand looks fantastic but we can’t see any potential transfer targets signing for us for because of that. Now that the transfer window has closed, we would rather try and focus on the team until the January window comes round.
