Jon Flanagan played the opening 45 minutes of a friendly between Liverpool U21s and Morecambe at the Kirkby Academy this afternoon.
The 23-year-old Liverpool defender came through the game, which the Reds won 4-0, without any obvious problems.
It was his second game in a week having played 45 minutes for the Liverpool U21s last Tuesday.
Flanagan hasn’t played competitively since the final day of the 2013-14 season due to knee problems.
Out of contract in the summer, Flanagan really can’t afford to suffer any more setbacks.
Hopefully that won’t be the case because we’re big fans of ‘The Scouse Cafu’.
