Denis Cheryshev free to leave Real Madrid for Liverpool

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says he won’t stand in the way of Denis Cheryshev if he wants to leave the Bernabéu today.

The 25-year-old left-sided winger has been the subject of a transfer enquiry from Liverpool and reports here in Spain claim that he could make the switch to Anfield on loan until the end of the season.

Cheryshev hasn’t been included in a single match-day squad under Zidane and with Euro 2016 just around the corner, the Russia international needs to get some game time under his belt.

Speaking last night, Zidane said: “Yes, we are going to see tomorrow but I think that he could still leave.

“The important thing for him is to have playing time.

“He is a great player, he needs time and I wish him the best.

“If he has the chance to leave and play, then I am delighted for him.

“We will see tomorrow.”
