Former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has announced his retirement at the age of 31.
Agger, who made 232 appearances for Liverpool and a further 43 appearances over 2 seasons for Brondby since leaving Anfield, announced his decision at a news conference and on Twitter earlier today.
“I have no doubt it is the right decision,” said the player who was Liverpool between 2006 and 2014.
On Twitter he added: “Thank you for your support. A great experience. It’s sad, but it is the right decision to stop. I’m proud of my career.”
And we are proud of you, Daniel. YNWA.
