Crystal Palace return for Christian Benteke

Crystal Palace have reignited their interest in Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.

The Reds have previously rejected a £25million offer from Palace for the 25-year-old hitman choosing instead to hold firm in the hope of recouping as much of the £32.5million that was ridiculously spunked on him last year.

Palace boss Alan Pardew has been searching for a new striker all summer and despite having failed to tempt Liverpool with his last offer, he feels there is still chance of a deal been brokered, an opinion that is shared by KOPTALK sources.

Benteke is up for a move to Palace and Liverpool want him to go there. With transfer deadline day approaching, the Reds know they are running out of time to get a decent fee for him.
