MEMBERS: Contract talks brought forward as rivals start flapping

Jürgen Klopp

Arsenal are stepping up their efforts to try and tie down Bukayo Saka (20) to a new and improved contract.

The Gunners are concerned about the ongoing interest from Liverpool and the rumours that they are hearing concerning their 20-year-old winger. Despite the player’s camp continually stating that Saka is happy at the club and wants to extend his stay, Arsenal club officials are aware of “very strong interest from Anfield that won’t go away.” There are also rumours that Saka may jump ship in the summer if the Gunners fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool insiders claim that Klopp has a stronger interest in Saka than Jude Bellingham and that in November, Saka’s camp fed back information to Liverpool that the player could be interested in a possible move to Anfield. Reports in December from the mainstream media did suggest such which backs up those claims a little bit.

We have absolutely no doubt at all that Klopp is a huge fan of the youngster, but because the player is involved in possible contract negotiations, we have to consider that his representatives could be bluffing both Liverpool and Arsenal in an attempt to secure better terms.

Saka has 2 years remaining on his existing contract.
